One of the London based Official Maserati Service Centre quoted me £825+VAT to replace my two rear tyres with Pirelli P Zero.
Is it worth the money? I am sure Kwik Fit will do just as good a job for much less the price? What do you think?
Below are factors I took into consideration:
1. Price
KwikFit and BlackCircles.com are both half the price of the Official Service Centre. This means that you could change all 4 tyres at KwikFit for the same price of 2! Do we really need to look at any other considerations?

2. Workmanship
I think they are all pretty on par for this. This is largely because replacing tyres is not a complex tasks (for experienced mechanics). They also uses the same equipment and tools.
3. Convenience
Proximity to home or office, ease of booking an appointment as well as availability of appointment are key practical factors. Both KwikFit and BlackCircles.com offer mobile service who will come to your place to fit your tyres.
4. Service
Last but not least is the warm fuzzy feeling you get from the experience. The Official Maserati Service Centres will have a slick Customer Service Officer who will greet you and offer you a coffee from a fancy espresso machine. They probably will also have a better selection of magazines.
What do you think? Would love to hear from you.
